Pausa na oficina!

Por quê postar as coisas que lemos e relemos?

Talvez, só por nos mantermos firmes e convictos de que há coisas boas a se fazer ainda. Não é de todo ruim o mundo (conquanto seja de "provas e expiações"). A considerarmos, antes e acima de tudo um certo grau de "Praemeditatio Mallorum", podemos sim almejar coisas verdadeiramente nobres. Isso nos imuniza, em grande medida, de culpar os outros ou o Mundo por qualquer coisa que não fazemos melhor.

Sempre lendo e relendo, portanto!

Aqui, "A ilha do tesouro" e, do mesmo autor (romântico inglês), o "Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde". Estão entre os primeiros que li no início da adolescência! Junto com as releituras anuais de Machado de Assis. O "Darwin" que aparece ali, é coisa da referência obrigatória somada às leituras que têm conotação mais científica, às obras frequentemente lidas e relidas, sempre com pequenas resenhas que anoto no Blog:

Os livros:

O "Enterrem meu coração na curva do rio", (de maior valor sentimental incomensurável, faz-me lembrar-te), tem uma dedicatória primorosa e inesquecível: “[...] é o relato da destruição sistemática dos índios da América do Norte. Lançando mão de várias fontes, como registros oficiais, autobiografias, depoimentos e descrições de primeira mão, Dee Brown faz grandes chefes e guerreiros das tribos Dakota, Ute, Soiux, Cheyenne e outras contarem com suas próprias palavras sobre as batalhas contra os brancos, os massacres e rompimentos de acordos.
